Privacy policy
Last updated: October 21, 2026
In short: we collect only the data needed to provide the Service; the trade data you import is used to give you review and analysis; we never sell any of your data, and we do not show you ads.
1. What this policy covers
This policy explains what information TradeRope (“we”) collects when you visit the website, sign up for an account and use the product, how we use and store it, and what rights you have.
2. What we collect
- Account information: the email address you sign up with, the credentials used to log in, your account settings, and the country or region our hosting platform infers from your network when you sign up (we keep only the country, never the IP address); each time you log in, we update the country or region of your most recent login the same way (again only the country, never the IP address, and never shared with any third party);
- Subscriptions and payments: subscription status and billing records. Payment credentials such as card numbers are handled by the third-party payment provider — we never access or store them;
- Trade data you import: fills, orders, fund flows and other historical data you import for review;
- Exchange API keys: if you choose to connect an exchange, the read-only API key and secret you provide, stored encrypted and used only to sync your trade data from the exchange;
- Feedback and correspondence: what you choose to send us through the in-product feedback entry or by email;
- Technical logs: access logs needed for security and troubleshooting (including IP address and request time) and the login session cookie.
We will never ask for withdrawal permission on your exchange account; please do not give us any credential that can move funds.
3. How we use it
- Account email: for login verification, necessary service notices and subscription notices — no marketing email;
- Trade data: to produce your replays, statistics and diagnosis results; to troubleshoot and improve the product, authorized staff may view the trade data needed for that; when we provide AI-related features, identifying information such as email and name is removed before data is sent to the provider;
- Technical logs: only for security protection (such as API rate limiting), troubleshooting and service improvement;
- We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to show ads to you or anyone else.
4. Storage, security and third parties
Data is stored in cloud infrastructure we contract (databases and object storage), encrypted in transit and protected by access controls. We do not provide your data to any third party except:
- Infrastructure providers needed to run the Service (cloud database, object storage, deployment platform, email delivery), which process data only on our instructions;
- Our payment provider (currently Creem), which acts as Merchant of Record for subscription payments, invoicing and refunds, and processes your payment information under its own privacy policy;
- AI providers, when we provide AI-related features, which receive only data with identifying information removed;
- Product analytics and error monitoring services (PostHog, Sentry), which receive only de-identified usage events and error information, and may process them in the United States;
- Where required by law or by a competent authority.
Our database and main servers are located in Singapore. Some of the providers above (such as payment, email and AI providers) may process data in other countries or regions, so your information may be transferred to and processed outside the place where you live.
To show live prices on the market page, your browser connects directly to Binance's public market data service (no account information is involved); Binance processes the network information needed for the connection (such as your IP address) under its own privacy policy.
5. Cookies
We use cookies needed for login sessions and security. We also use a first-party referral cookie lasting 30 days, storing only the first referral code to count registrations from sharing, not for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Our product analytics service (PostHog) stores analytics cookies and local storage in your browser to tell visit sessions apart and to measure how features are used, not for advertising or cross-site tracking. It records which type of page you view (the page type only, never the parameters in the address, trade IDs or amounts), the domain of the site that referred your first visit along with any campaign parameters, and your browser language.
6. Retention and deletion
- Subscription and billing records: kept for the period tax and accounting require; if you previously left only an email address (without signing up), you can ask for that record to be deleted at any time;
- Account and trade data: kept for as long as the account exists;
- Technical logs: kept on a rolling basis for the shortest period security requires.
To delete your account and all of its data, contact us through “Submit feedback” in the product or by email. We complete it within 7 business days.
After deletion we keep only one irreversible record, used to mark that the email address has already had the free trial: you can still sign up again with the same email, but it will not get another free trial.
7. Your rights
At any time you can: ask what information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; ask for your whole account and its data to be deleted; export the data you have imported. If the law where you live (for example the EU General Data Protection Regulation or the California Consumer Privacy Act) gives you further rights, such as restricting or objecting to processing or lodging a complaint with your local data protection authority, you may also exercise them as provided by that law. To exercise any of these rights, contact us as described in section 9.
8. Minors
The Service is intended for adults aged 18 or over; we do not provide it to minors and do not knowingly collect their information.
